Natural Gas

How would you like to be woken up out of a deep sleep by your husband saying, "shhhh, there's a ton of natural gas in the house open up all the windows!" Um... hello!!! "What did you just say?" I frantically jumped out of bed and right away wanted to call the fire department instead of opening all the windows. I just kept thinking forget about the windows... we need to get out of here. And we did just that. I grabbed the baby and took him over to my in-laws house. Thank god they live right around the corner. Meanwhile, my husband stayed behind to fumigate the house. He called about two hours later and said, "come home, the house is all cleared out there's no more gas." Reluctantly, I put the baby back in the car and drove home. We all slept together last night and thanks to the hubby our house was a safe place once again. Needless to say, we are on our way to babies r us today to get child proof knobs for the stove. I'm not even sure if it was our little man that turned the knob or my big ole butt bumping into it... all I know is that nothing happened to us because the hubby/daddy saved us!

Halloween 2009

I took our little Frankenmonster out trick or treating into our desolate neighborhood last night. Poor little guy didn't get to see any other kids in their costumes. I think we had a total of three trick or treaters that came to our house :( All the neighborhood kids decided to hit the other neighborhoods where the houses are a little bit closer together. BOO BOO!!! I have decided that future Halloweens will be spent at Grandma and Grandpa Alberts or Grandma Dresp's house... most likely the Alberts since their five minutes away and to many drunks are out on Halloween!!! Anyway, we enjoyed our evening with our little Frankenmonster. He looked so cute!!!
