Pumpkinville

Yesterday, we took our little man to the pumpkin patch for the very first time. He picked out his own pumpkins, ran up and down the aisle of pumpkins, and went for a short wagon ride with his pumpkins. We also bought apple cider while we were at pumpkinville and tested it out once we arrived back home. The cider got a thumbs up in this house hold!

Here are some pics:

Today we celebrated one of our little man's girlfriend's birthday. We looked forward to going to her party ever since we recieved the invitation. However, right before we were about to leave I checked our babies temp and what did it say?? 101.7??? It's never been that high before. So, I called my girlfriend and told her we were not going to come and she said it was up to me and that sometimes when Madilyn wakes up from a nap she is really warm and has had a fever like temperature. Do kids wake up with fever like temperatures after taking a nap? Someone please answer that question. So anyway, then I went back to the barn to talk it over with the hubby and he said that our little one looked fine and that he was probably just cutting a tooth again. I preceded to go back and forth, and back and forth because he's just never had a fever that high. Then, I checked his temp again and it had gone down some.... so off we went to the birthday celebration. We were there for about an hour and a half, which was plenty because I just knew my baby wasn't feeling good. We gave Madilyn her presents, had a little to eat, talked with our friends and out the door we went to get home and into our pj's. When we arrived back home I checked our little man's temp again and this time it read 100.4, which means that it went down a whole degree. So What? It was probably just the Tylenol kicking in.... any how he crashed earlier then usual and is sleeping peacefully. I just hope we wake up tomorrow fever free and pray that it is just his teeth and not an ear infection. But I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not the teeth and that he's getting sick. Poor baby.

My little man absolutely loved this ELMO poster. He kept trying to kiss it!

Is July Really Over?

How could July already be over? Where did the time go? I feel like the summer is almost over even though we still have the whole month of August. And I feel like we really didn't get to do much, even though the little man and I have been on the go go go!!! And even on a rainy day like today... we were on the go go go!!! Today, grandma Mueller and I took the little man to the children's museum. We tried to show him the water table, the house that had a kitchen, nursery, and bedroom, and the barn all of which had signs teaching children what the rooms were for and how to take care of things such as cooking and babies etc.... However, he is at the age were he just wants to go go go. Hopefully, he got something out of the experience!!!

Here are some pics of us at the museum:

July has been packed with fun! Yesterday we had one of the best play dates ever with two friends of mine and their children. We went to the sprinkler park and then came back to our house for pizza and more play time!

Here is a picture of the three cuties at the sprinkler park playing with all the other kids toys:

Back at our house:

We have also visited with family during the month of July. We went to the zoo with grandma Dresp. We've gone over to grandma and grandpa Alberts to visit with the little man's cousins. And have visited grandma and grandpa Mueller.

More Fun!!!

Okay so I just posted about my family party.... the party ended early (5pm) so my husband caught up with one of his friends at a local bar just down the street from our house. While him and Evans (my husband's friend) were hanging out they decided that it would be a good idea for the Evans family to come over and go swimming. They brought their son who will be a year old in September and their daughter who, I think is 9 years old. The Evans had planned to go to dinner but we told them, "NO do not go to dinner we have so much food left over from the family party." At first they declined but then called back and said, "Okay, burgers sound good." So, I guess you can say we had two parties in one day!!!! Everyone had a blast swimming in the pool but I especially enjoyed the two games of HORSE we played!!! I won the first one but since I taught my husband how to shoot some hoops he won the second game... Sorry Evans, you didn't win any of the games!!! But it was nice having you all over.

It's finally time for bed... did I tell you that I have a golf outing tomorrow?? I will let you all know how it goes. I am no golfer but I will try my best!

Family, Friends, and Fun!

We have had a busy couple of days. Saturday my girlfriend from high school and her husband, who we also went to high school with, came over to see our little baby. They have been wanting to come over for some time now and so we all decided Saturday would be a great day to get together. It was supposed to be sunny and hot outside (great day for a dip in the pool) but it wasn't instead it rained and we did not get to use the pool. We made the best out of our day anyway. We grilling brats, chit chatted, and hung out with the baby.

My high school buddies and my son.

Sunday went we to my sister-in-laws house for our nephew's 4th birthday party. It is so hard to believe that he is already four... the whole time we were there I just kept thinking our little guy will be four before we know it, time is already flying by.

Grandma Alberts and all the grand babies!

Today, two of my friends from work came over. They too have wanting to see the baby! My one friend brought her daughter over to go swimming in the pool (today was a great pool day). I think she had a really nice time. She asked if she could come back and I told her she could come over anytime.

Me, my friends daughter (who will be my son's helper at daycare :) ), and my son.
