July~In Review

What happened to July? Really? What the heck happened to July? I can't believe we are already two weeks into August and that I go back to work in just one short week. July felt like the fast and the furious around here as did my maternity leave. And although our time off together is coming to an end I am looking forward to fall, football Sundays, cooking meals for the week ahead, the routine of the work week, and the weekends with my family after a long week at work. I am not, however, looking forward to taking both of my children back to daycare :(
During the month of July we were able to finish up our t-ball season, take a trip to the beach, make the haul up to my husband's family's cabin in PA, and finish off the month with a trip to IdleWild Amusement Park. Our sweet little Andi did not make the trip to the beach or to IdleWild (thank you Nana for coming to stay with Andi), but she did make her first trip to the cabin with us and was an angel pretty much the whole time. Here are some pictures of our summer:

Happy Fourth of July all! Today has been a lazy home day for us which I am extremely happy for since its 90 plus degrees outside. We enjoyed each others company in the pool and around the house today. We also decided to do a family photo opt!! I know..... I am crazy.... it was so.... hot..... Anyway, after jumping in the pool and frogging all day we put on the Fourth of July shirts I made for us and here are the results!!!

A&E

Andi and Eddie have many similarities and differences. The most important similarity they share is that their parents and family love them very much and cherish time spent with them. Some similarities they share as babies include: they both weighted 8 plus pounds when they were born. They both have blue eyes and lite strawberry blonde/brownish/rusty color hair. They both started sleeping through the night around 2 months old and they both nursed well. They also have the most beautiful smiles that'll just melt your heart (in my opinion!!!).  Although they share some commonalities as babies, they are also very different. Obviously, Eddie is 4 years older than Andi and has been potty trained for two years now. Andi, on the other hand, goes through 6-10 diapers a day. Eddie can feed himself (when he wants to eat), while I have to feed Andi bottles. Eddie wants to play outside, catch frogs, play trucks, go swimming, play baseball (sometimes) and ride on his four wheeler, where as Andi has to do tummy time and learn how to grab objects hanging above her. Eddie has a well developed vocabulary for a four year old and talks non-stop, while Andi is just finding her voice letting out squeals of joy here and there. Eddie is all boy and so far Andi is all girl!

Here are a few pictures of my two very different, yet the same, beautiful children:

8 weeks later...

Andi is growing fast and adjusting to having a big brother, mom and dad. She is smiling and talks to us when she is awake with oo's and ah's. She is gaining weight at a steady speed and has been given the all clear as far as health goes by the doctor. So far, our little girl has mommy completely baffled. She is a good sleeper but her patterns are unpredictable, one day she will sleep all day long and the next day she won't sleep at all. Other than that, we too have adjusted to having a baby in the house again and big brother just loves her as much as mom and dad.
Look at that angelic face.... who wouldn't love her?
And big brother still finds time to have some fun!
And we have even made trips to the farm park and the zoo!
And while mommy is in the house trying to do "tummy time" the boys are outside catching baby deer.
8 weeks later we are doing well and are complete as a family of four!

Easter

Easter is always a special holiday around here and it usually starts with Mema and Papa Alberts annual Easter egg hunt for their grandchildren. However, this year we had more to celebrate and that was the arrival of our baby girl Andi Jo. She did not get a basket from the Easter bunny this year like her big brother nor did she get to participate in the hunting of eggs but she will next year for sure! This year she got to be our very own cute little bunny while big brother Eddie found his basket and hunted for eggs!

This Easter was priceless. Eddie enjoyed his Easter immensely and told us by saying, "man this easter bunny is good!" and " I think this Easter bunny loves me!" all the while I kept thinking to myself and periodically saying out loud, of course the Easter bunny loves you. This Easter bunny will love both of you forever and ever!

Our children- Welcome Baby Girl Andi Jo

On 4-2-2012 our baby girl Andi Jo Alberts joined our family at 10:10a.m. She weighed 8lbs. 2oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. We are so very blessed to have her in our lives and are very excited to now be a family of four. She is already so loved and cared for and will continue to be. Her older brother ,Eddie, has cuddled, kissed, hugged, and squeezed her as he has welcomed her to our home with open arms. Ed and I could not be more proud to be the parents of two beautiful, kind and loving children. We love you Eddie and Andi. And we will always love you!

Here she is shortly after coming into our world:

Andi stayed with us since the minute she was born in the operating room. Big brothers first visit, he loved her the minute he saw her.
The kiss that will seal their bond for a life time.

Finally home and snuggling.
Eddie's very own kissy doll!

Dear Andi

I have carried you know for over 38 weeks and in just 8 days we (daddy, Eddie, and I) will finally get to meet you. Daddy and I have loved you since the minute we found out you would be coming into this world. And your big brother Eddie has been so excited to meet you. He too has loved you since he found out he was going to be a big brother. He has kissed mommy's belly and told you he loves you a hundred times and will continue to tell you once you are born! As will your daddy and I! We will take care of you, love you, and give you what we can. We will try our best to teach you right from wrong and will guide you to make right decisions as you grow older. We love you so much and can't wait to meet you! Here are a few pictures of you in mommy's belly.

Here you are at about 20 weeks old. This is the day we found out you were a girl and decided Andi Jo would be your name.

Here you are at 24 weeks. Mommy had to go in for a follow up ultrasound because the doctors did not see your stomach fill up the way they wanted at 20 weeks. Everything checked out just fine.

Here you are in mommy's belly on New Year's Day 2012.

And here is picture of you and I and your big brother the day my coworkers through a baby shower for us. You and I were about 34 weeks. And here we are at 35 weeks. My students at school surprised us with another shower! The next time I post pictures of you, you will be in my arms, your daddy's arms, or your brother's arms and we will be kissing and loving on you!

Monster Jam 2012

Yes. The two men in my life, my husband and son ventured out to the Monster Jam on Saturday for the second year in a row. And although none of the really famous monster trucks (except Grave Digger) were there, a good time was still had. Here are a few pics. Make sure to take a real good luck at the one if my cutie patutie son!!!
