So Sad!

The chippies are still with us. Although, I do not think they will be for long because they refuse to drink the milk we have been trying to give them! Yesterday, when we went to check on them, it looked like the mother had been in the box with them. We could only hope! Do we let them go and see if they can survive on their own? Or do we keep trying to get them to drink the milk? Either way, it's just so sad.

Rescue Mission

Yesterday our dog Newbie was barking like crazy in the backyard. When my husband looked out the window he noticed that she had dug a hole in the middle of the yard (which is nothing new), only this time there were three little black things crawling around. Well, we figured out that they were baby chipmunks!!! Today after we went looking for carpet my husband tried to give them some milk with a tiny eye dropper. The babies only got a couple drops each but it was better than nothing. Hopefully, we will be able to get them strong enough to survive on their own!

While my husband was feeding the babies, three deer ran through the front yard!

Soggy Sunday

I have not updated my blog in over a week so I thought it was the best thing to do on this rainy Sunday.
Throughout the week my husband and I ran through our normal routine.... get up for work, go to work, come home from work, eat dinner and go to bed!

Saturday I went to a baby shower with my mother-in-law. I got to meet more of my husbands family, which was very nice! They are all very nice people and I hope I get to see more of them. My husband stayed home and did yard work! He cut the grass, weeded, and even put in our new doggie door to the basement! He also cleaned the basement throughouly!!! Thank you for working so hard! I love you!

Friday after work I stayed and helped out with the pre-game cookout at Perry. There was great food, great people, and great fun! The Pirates came out on fire and won the game 41-15!!!

Before the game! My dad cooking at the pre-game cookout! I also ran into some of the girls on my basketball team! Here they are in their flag uniforms!!! They did an excellent job performing on the field!!!

Project

Yesterday my hubby took the day off of work to seal coat the drive!!! For never having sealed the driveway on his own, he did an amazing job! He deserved a present so he decided to buy a base guitar! He plays an acoustic guitar already and thought it might be a good idea to learn how to play the base. It's always good to be versatile!!!

I worked all day, attended the fifth grade open house, and then stopped by to check out the varsity football scrimmage (which I thought started at 7 but it's started around 5:30). One of my younger cousins was at the scrimmage and I got to see her for a whole 30 seconds... regardless I was glad to see her!

Getting Old

Okay... today I had to make up part of a training that I missed last school year. Then I came home and had dinner with the hubby, which was the best dinner ever: chicken, rice a roni, and cottage cheese (YUM!!!), and then I went shopping with my mother in law for new school clothes (which I enjoyed thoroughly)! Most people that know me, know that I stay away from buying clothes that need to be ironed!!! However, you know I am getting old when I buy clothes that need ironed and then I come home and actually iron and outfit for work tomorrow!!! I already thought it was bad enough that this past Thanksgiving break, while my husband was hunting, that I stayed home on a Friday night!!! I actually called my parents and asked what was wrong with me??? Oh yeah... and somewhere in the mix I started reading and I actually love it! Well now I know (the ironing tops it off) that I'm getting old! Things will probably only get better, right?

Back To Normal

School is starting soon so it's time for things to get back to normal! Believe me I am not complaining!!! I am fortunate to have summers off! I just can't believe how tired I have been these last two days just trying to get back on the work schedule!!!
Today, I straightened the house and picked up some groceries that were needed before I am never home again! I also had enough energy to take the dogs for a run, make homemade taco's for dinner, and take a ride on the DRZ's with my husband! It was a great day!

Lazy Day

Today my husband and I woke up and rode our DRZ's to breakfast!!! Then we came home and watched a movie until it was time for my husband to get ready for the private party his band is playing this evening! I usually attend his shows but being that it is a private party and I won't know anyone there I decided it would be a good day to finish my book and lay in the pool!

The book I read was about a tragedy and about how life is pretty much taken for granted.... so I came across a quote that I thought would sum up my life and why I decided to create this blog in the first place!!! To share my adventures with you!
HAPPY SATURDAY!!!

Cutting The Grass

Today, when I finally woke up, I decided to cut the grass. When I walked outside to start HONEY DIPPING I noticed that there were about eight deer in my backyard. I took a couple of pictures and then decided that I would try to get a little closer... Of course the neighbor came home for lunch and had to rev up his motorcycle so by the time I tiptoed back to the barn the deer had run away. The Mama and the two babies didn't go to far and I was able to snap a shot of one of the babies eating in my woods.

Now I am off to sit in the sun and read my book: Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult

I recommend reading this one!!!

My Dogs

Today I took two of my dogs for a run to the park near my house. My German Shepard loves to swim so we always make a pit stop at the river. When I let her loose to jump in I didn't realize that after all the rain that she could be swept away!!! Thank God she is a good swimmer because she made it to the bank and decided to jump in for some more fun! The little beagle usually get her feet wet but she was smart enough to know that she would be swept away and would not be coming back.... so she just took a couple of sips of water and waited for the German Shepard to get done swimming! (The picture above is not from today!) We made our way back home in the 90 degree weather to find the fat beagle baking in the sun! I would have taken her to the park to but as you can see she definitely wouldn't have made it!

Weekend Update!!!

This past weekend was eventful!!! Friday was movie night with my hubby. Saturday my husband and I spent time in the pool all day, it was absolutely beautiful outside. After laying in the pool I went over to my girlfriends house for game night, which was a blast. Sunday I participated in the Perry Booster Club golf outing with my Uncle Louie, Uncle Paul, and my dad.

From left to right (My Uncle Paul, my dad, Uncle Louie, and me).
My Uncle Louie almost made the hole in one shot to win a brand new truck and because of that shot we won a SKINS and won back half of our money :)
