Well... it's Friday

I am at a loss!!! There are no challenges or quests going on at the moment and I just can't believe that I do not have to report my workouts!!! But because I need to stay focused on maintaining a healthy life style, I am going to post my workouts for this week anyway. This may be the last workout report, unless that is until Christie would be so kind as to head up another challenge or quest!

Here is what I did this week:

Monday: 30 min. Pilates workout

Tuesday: 33 min. on elliptical (16min. with the dumbbells) and 1 mile walk.

Wednesday: 50 min. Pilates workout

Thursday: 28 min. on elliptical (16min. with the dumbbells) and 1 mile walk.

Friday: OFF

My workouts were slightly less this week. Probably because I didn't have a goal to meet or a report to make... but I did something. And something is better than nothing. I think I actually lost a couple of pounds in our last quest, but like I have said I never really kept track. My clothes are fitting much better these days and I am feeling great! And in case you were wondering why I never talk about my diet, it's because I'm on the see food diet. You know you see it, then eat it!!! Unfortunately, I have been on that diet my whole life and to be honest with you I never see it changing lol....

Baby Note: Because you know I always have to keep you updated on the latest with my little one!

The pink eye or whatever type of eye infection it actually was, is for the most part gone. He got outside this week quiet a bit with his daycare friends and love every minute of it. He has been moving more and more each day, and talking more and more each day. He says MAMA quiet clearly now and give kisses on demand (that's my favorite!!!). He's been doing some off these things for a while but not consistently... and now they are consistent! He loves his early birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Alberts (leap frog learning table, Thank you!) and has been using it every night to develop his gross motor and mobility skills.

Here's a picture of him in action with daddy and Dot (from bugs life)!

Giving kisses to Dot, he love her!

FTF "Quest for Greatness"

I didn't exactly conquer my goal on this quest. I did however, manage to stay on the elliptical for 50 minutes yesterday in my good faith effort to try to last as long as I could at least once!!!! I was able to get four workouts in this week!

Here is what I did:

Saturday: OFF
Sunday: OFF
Monday: 45 min. Pilates workout
Tuesday: 33 min. on elliptical (16 mins. with 5 lb dumbbells)
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 50 min. on elliptical, one mile walk.
Friday: 45 min. Pilates workout!!!

I would like to thank Christie for leading us in another great challenge that motivates me daily to live a more healthy life style.

FTF "Quest for Greatness"

I feel like I have been living in a twilight zone!!! I can't believe it is already FRIDAY.... it seems like last Friday was yesterday. Anyway, I was able to get five work outs in this week. I have not lost any weight but I haven't gained any either. At this point, I am happy with maintaining.

Here is what I did this week:

Sunday: 30 min Pilates work out.
Monday: OFF

Tuesday: 33 minutes on the elliptical with 5lb. dumbbells (16 mins. with those!!!)

Wednesday: 33 minutes on the elliptical with 5lb. dumbbells (16 mins. with those!!!)

Thursday: 50 min Pilates work out.

Friday: 50 min Pilates work out.

And of course I have to add a baby update:

As you may have watch (video--from my last post), I took our little man to my girlfriend's house on Monday for a play date with Madilyn ( 15 months old) and AJ (8 months old). We had such a nice time. Our little man loved playing with his friends. He told me on the ride home that he is looking forward to seeing them again and can't wait until he gets to play with all of Madilyn's toys. He absolutely loved the rocking motorcycle, which by the way right after we left we stopped at Wall Mart and bought the rock-in-go pony!!!! And lets just say he's been a rockin ever since!!!! I have a feeling these three little adorable people will be good friends, especially when the weather breaks and we can take weekly trips to the zoo!

No crawling yet but we are making progress. He has also been trying more new foods like mac-n-cheese, little pieces of chicken (he kind of gagged with this one, is that normal?), and bitter biscuits that he bites big chunks out of because he has eight teeth. He is developing the best personality and is almost always happy as a little clam. He is so loved by so many people and I know he loves all of us too!!!!

Here is a couple of pictures with his friends. I thought we was going to get into a battle over the talking ELMO doll. I will definitely be getting him that one for his birthday!!!!
Um.... I am playing with your ELMO thank you very much!
And, NO you can not have your pillow either.
Okay, you can have your pillow but ELMO is mine!!!
Your not going to get your motorcycle back either lol!!!Thanks for having me over. I thoroughly enjoyed playing with all of your toys!!!!

FTF "Quest for Greatness"

I did not report out last week because FACE BOOK has taken over....lol... but I am back! I worked out five days last week and three days this week. I have been sticking to the Pilates/Elliptical with weights workouts and they are paying off. I have not lost any weight but I have lost inches.
Another reason I have not posted in a while is due to the change in my sons sleeping habits. For most of his short life he has been on a schedule like clockwork, going to bed around 6:30ish and waking up at 5:00ish, however this last week he has decided to protest sleep. It's not a drastic change but not the normal if you know what I mean. I am happy that he is staying up later because mommy and daddy get to spend more time with him and if that means I don't get to talk to all of you (no offense), I'll take it!
Our son is well on his way to becoming his own little person! He can now get up into a crawling position on his own (when he feels like it) and rocks back and forth. He has been trying new foods such as: noodles, cottage cheese (loves it), cheese, cooked peas (only one, didn't like it so much), and cheerios. Cheerios are by far his favorite. Last Sunday was my husband's turn to get up in the morning so that I could sleep in and when I finally woke up to join my two love bugs, I found daddy feeding our baby lots and lots of Cheerios. Twenty-five to be exact and they weren't even soften up with milk!!!! Our little one would eat Cheerios until he turn into one if we let him!!! He also loves going to the grocery store with us now that he can ride big boy style in the cart and he especially loves when daddy races up and down the isles (while mommy is secretly having a heart attack) and squeals out with joy!

Happy Valentines Day: We hope your weekend is filled with love and joy!!!

FTF "Quest for Greatness"

For the first time in a long time, I feel good about my workouts. I added 5lb. dumbbells to all of my elliptical workouts this week and it seems like the results are instant! I can hold the dumbbells for 14 minutes, which is about half of my workout. My new goal is to be able to hold them the entire workout, which is 28-35 minutes long. By adding the weights to my workout I am toning the areas that need toned!!! Not only are the weights toning my arms, they are helping me get ride of my baby pouch!!!

Here's my workout summary for the week:

Saturday: OFF
Sunday: 30 min. Pilates workout.
Monday: 28 minutes on the elliptical (14 min. with 5lb. dumbbells), 1 mile walk.
Tuesday: 33 minutes on the elliptical (14 min. with 5lb. dumbbells), 1 mile walk.
Wednesday: 30 min. Pilates workout.
Thursday: 28 minutes on the elliptical (14 min. with 5lb. dumbbells), 1 mile walk.
Friday: 30 min. Pilates workout.

Side Note: MY BABY TURNED 9 MONTHS OLD YESTERDAY!!!! HOW COULD I FORGET TO TELL YOU? HE'S GETTING SO BIG! MOMMY LOVES YOU BABY!!!

FTF "Quest for Greatness"

The "Quest for Greatness" is not going all that great. I have completely changed my workout routine, from which I am seeing great results, to more muscle toning. However, I am nowhere near reaching my goal of being able to stay on the elliptical for an hour three days a week. In fact, I'm not so sure that I have even begun trying to reach it. I have decided that I really like the results I am seeing with my new workout routine and therefore will continue this venture as a means of staying motivated to be healthy!!!!

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: 30 min. Pilates workout, played with my son the rest of the day.

Sunday: 25 min. walk on treadmill with son in tow.

Monday: OFF

Tuesday: 45 min. Pilates workout.

Wednesday: 22 min. on elliptical with 5lb. dumbbell weights in each hand.

Thursday: 5 min. on bike at level 6 for 1 mile, 22 minutes on elliptical for 2 miles.

Friday: OFF

And now I am OFF for a ladies night!!! It has been a while since I have had a night out with the ladies! I will let you know how much fun I had tomorrow (hopefully).

FTF "Snow Day Edition"

What have you been doing on this bitter cold day? We have been playing!!! I have been taking full advantage of this extra day home with my son. We have sung songs, practiced crawling (this is work in progress), and have eaten some fruit puffs (me too!! He will eat one if I do!).

SEE: Me and my handsome son!

As for my workouts this week, again I feel like they weren't all that great. I am having a really hard time with this no running thing. My doctor said that I could try to run, I guess technically he cleared me, but I have to look to the future. Do I want to have a total knee replacement like my mom at the age of 53? Um, no thanks. So, I have been doing the Pilates/elliptical/strap the son to me walking thing. The good thing about doing these types of activities are: I have not gained any weight! The bad thing is, I haven't lost any! I am okay with not losing any weight but at the same time I am not okay with feeling like I did not get a good workout. I am one of those people that like to break a really good sweat and I haven't done that in some time now. Anyway, here is what I did this week.

Saturday: 30 minute Pilates workout.

Sunday: 25 minute walk with son in tow, 30 minute Pilates workout.

Monday:OFF

Tuesday: 9.5 miles on the bike. All the ellipticals were taken (me frowning).

Wednesday: 45 minute Pilates workout.

Thursday: 27 minute walk with son in tow.

Friday: 30 minute walk with son in tow.

Do you see something wrong here? I do. I am never going to reach my goal if I don't get my butt back on that elliptical!!!!!

Happy Fat Ticker Friday and (for all you teachers out there) Snow Day too!!!!

FTF "The Quest for Greatness" & More!

This week was a bit hectic trying to get back into the swing of things after having off for two weeks. I did, however, manage to squeeze in some work outs. My work outs weren't great this week and if I continue on this path, I will never reach my goal of being able to stay on the elliptical for an hour at least three days a week.

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: 40 minute Pilates work out, 25 minute walk on tread mill with son in tow.
Sunday: OFF
Monday: 45 minute Pilates work out.
Tuesday: 30 minutes on the elliptical, one mile walk.
Wednesday: 45 minute Pilates work out.
Thursday: 33 minutes on the elliptical.
Friday: OFF

Since this challenge is not about loosing weight, I did not weigh in this week. I am feeling a bit bloated anyway and probably won't like what I see.

On another note:
What was your child eating at the age of 8 and 1/2 months? I am asking this question because my son is just not progress with his foods like he should. I know all babies are different and I understand that, but it is very frustrating when we haven't even moved past 1st foods. My son is just getting slammed with teeth left and right. He has his two bottom teeth, his two eye teeth, and now he is getting his two front teeth. I also know that he has been in pain and probably could careless about food at this point in time. I guess I just wanted to know what other moms have done with the whole eating/ teething issue, how they got their children to eat, and what types of food their children were eating at this age? Don't get me wrong, my son is healthy and gaining weight like he should. I just feel like he should be working on skills to develop physically such as his pincher reflex etc....and I know eating table foods help to develop some of those types of skills. Any advice?

FTF

Let me start by saying that I just got done telling my dad that if I saw or ate another cookie I could puke!!!! However, I think I actually lost one pound. How? I have not idea because I only worked out 3 days this week and the work outs were not even remotely close to what I usually do. As I have already said, I am on Christmas break which means I am at home for two whole weeks with no access to an elliptical. I had to get creative this week which is huge for me because I am not the most creative person.

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: I did nothing, ate cookies.
Sunday: I did nothing, ate cookies and some really good cheese perogies.
Monday: 30 min. Pilates work out, 22 minute walk on treadmill.
Tuesday: 40 min. Pilates work out, 25 minute walk on treadmill with my son strapped to me in his little jeep carrier.
Wednesday: Ate some more cookies, had a big dinner at my in-laws, and then ate some more cookies.
Thursday: Guess what? More cookies!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
Friday: 30 min. walk on tread milk with son strapped in for the ride again!!!!

And I guess I can count all the running around I did to get ready for the holiday!!!

FTF (Quest for Greatness)

I was able to work out four times this week. I did not lose any weight but I didn't gain either!!! I think my goal of being able to say on the elliptical for an hour three days a week is going to be more difficult than I thought. I say this because I am off of work for the next two weeks and I am not sure how much working out I will be able to do at home since I do not own an elliptical. I will, however, walk on the treadmill when I can.

Here is what I did this week:

Monday: 50 minute Pilates workout.
Tuesday: OFF
Wednesday: 33 minutes on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Thursday: 33 minutes on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Friday: 30 minutes on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.

Baby update: Our little one seemed to be getting over his ear infection earlier this week. However, the last two night he hasn't been drinking his night night bottle. We are off to the doctor's again tomorrow morning for a follow up and to possible get something other than Amoxicillin because I don't think that it is working. Ear infection and all, our little guy has been happy and chipper and can't wait until he gets to open his first Christmas presents on Christmas day. I am delighted to have two whole weeks of with him. I am not sure what we are going to do but what ever we decide to do, we will have fun!

FTF "HFH"

I am up two pounds this week, for valid reasons of course. It's amazing how fast a month will go by if you know what I mean. So yes, I am retaining water weight at the moment!

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: OFF- went to the casino!!!
Sunday: OFF
Monday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Tuesday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Wednesday: OFF- another meeting after school!!!
Thursday: 3.3 mile run on treadmill at an incline of 3 and speed of 6.0.
Friday: 2 mile run on treadmill at and incline of 4 and speed 6.0.

Christie asked us what our "Aha" moment was for this weeks question.

Here is my "Aha" moment:

This picture was taken a day after I had my baby.... but when I saw this picture I thought, holy crap I look like the giant state puff marshmallow man in the movie Ghost Busters!!!! After seeing this picture I knew that I was going to have to work really hard to get the weight off!!! And I have see:
Right after having my baby I was down 20 pounds. Since then I have lost 52 pounds!!! 6 more pounds to reach my goal!!!! YAY!!! But I do have a question for all you ladies out there that have had children and have lost the weight. Do your jeans EVER fit right again? Even though I had lost the weight, none of my jeans fit me?? Am I missing something??? And should I just throw in the towel and go by new ones?

FTF "HFH"

The scale finally moved! I am down two pounds this week. However, I am not overly excited about these two pounds because I barely got to work out this week and I know that I just lost muscle mass!!! Monday I had to take my little man to get his sixth month shots, Wednesday I had a meeting after work, and Thursday I took the little man to see his physician. I dealt with a constipated baby, again, all week. My poor baby gets so constipated to the point that he is squealing in pain when he is trying to push, it just break my heart. And you know what the scary thing is? He doesn't even seem like anythings bothering him until he is pushing!!! Anyway, the doctor said that there was nothing major to worry about at this point and that I just had to find a happy medium with the juices and fruits etc... My little man finally got everything out on Thursday and is now free flowing!!! Yipee..... I just hope it stays that way.

As for working out, here is what I managed to squeeze in this week:

Saturday: 3 mile run with dogs, 3 sets of stairs at the park.
Sunday: 3 mile run with dogs, 3 sets of stairs at the park.
Monday: OFF
Tuesday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: OFF
Friday: 3 mile run on track, 1 mile walk.

Christie asked us to renew our vows this week. Here are my vows.

*For the next 4 weeks, I will TRY to eat clean.
* I will make a conscious effort to work out 5 to 6 days a week and maybe even start adding some weights into my workout ( I know I keep saying this but time is of the essence when you are a working mom and want to spend time with your baby before he goes to bed).
* I will begin training for the half marathon that I want to run in May, even if I don't end up running in it!!!
* I will try to eat less cakes and desserts that Mrs. S makes for all the teachers at work, she is evil!!! (This will be my most difficult task).
* And I will reach my goal weight or at least I hope... 7 more pounds to go!!!
* I will think about the inspiration and motivation this group has given me to want to be a healthier person!!!!

FTF "HFH"

I finally feel like I am getting HOT FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!! I did not lose any weight this week but I can tell that I am finally losing the inches. And to be quiet honest with you, I would rather lose inches than weight. Weight is just a number, it's how I feel that really counts. And even though I've been sick this week, I feel great!!! Or should I say I feel like I look great FINALLY!!! My clothes are fitting better and I am almost back to my size 8 jeans, which for me is good since I am 5'10!!!! Anyway, enough of tooting my own horn... I usually never do that!!!!

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: 3 mile run and 3 sets of stairs at the park with the dogs.
Sunday: OFF
Monday: 2.5 mile run on treadmill, 1 mile walk.
Tuesday: 2 mile walk with son in running stroller (it was beautiful out and I wanted to enjoy the weather with him!!!)
Wednesday: 3 mile run on track, 1 mile walk.
Thursday: 3 miles on the elliptical.
Friday: OFF

This weeks questions was a fill in the blank posted by Christie.

My life would be better if I had more ________.

My life would be better if I had more TIME. Time to spend with my husband. Time to spend with my child. And time to spend with our families. It's funny... when I was younger my parents would always say, "Don't be in such a hurry to grow up." Well now I know what they were talking about. When I was younger it felt like time stood still and now there just isn't enough of it, if you know what I mean. It seems like only yesterday I was crying and complaining about doing chores before I was allowed to go with my friends and that was about 15 years ago. It seems like only yesterday I moved into my own dorm room on my college campus and that was about 12 years ago. It seems like only yesterday that I finished my masters degree and got married and that was about 5 years ago. And it seems like only yesterday that I had my child was born and that was already over 6 months ago!!! And to think.... I will never get any of that time back. So, I will cherish the time I have now.... even though I wish I had more of it!!!

FTF "HFH" (Not a total disaster)

I lost the three pound gain that I reported for Taking it off together Tuesday so I'll take it!!! My week was not a total disaster after all!!! That makes me happy.. YAY!!!!

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: 2.5 mile run with dogs, 3 sets of stairs at the park.
Sunday: 2.5 mile run with dogs, 3 sets of stairs at the park.
Monday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Tuesday: OFF
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 50 crunches, 10 push ups, and 1 mile walk.
Friday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 50 crunches, 10 push ups, and 1 mile walk.

I actually do have a healthy recipe to share but I do not have a name for it!!!! Anyway, all you need is ground turkey, rice, salsa, and cottage cheese. And all you do is brown the ground turkey, cook the rice, and then mix the turkey and the rice with some salsa and cottage cheese (you can decide how much of each you would like to add). This dish can be served cold or hot (I prefer it heated)!!! Let me know if you decide try this recipe.

FTF "HFH"

I lost two pounds this week. Yes, the same to pounds that I reported for Taking it off together Tuesday. I said last week that maybe this week I would add some lifting. Um... ya, that didn't happen. I did my same old work out that I always do. It was like I had a good angel sitting on my right shoulder saying, "go lift, go lift, go lift" but then there was the bad angel on the left shoulder saying, "go run, go run, go run"!!! And what do you know the bad angel won me over every time!

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: 2.5 mile run with dogs, 2 set of stairs at the park.
Sunday: 3 mile walk with son.
Monday: 3 mile run on track, 1 mile walk.
Tuesday: 3 mile run on track, 1 mile walk.
Wednesday: 3 miles on elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Thursday: 3 miles on elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Friday: OFF

I took today off to go get our first family Christmas picture. I will be posting pictures soon!

Now on to Christie's question of the week: So remember our question for this week? About your favorite and least favorite body parts or rather, what you'd like to work on? What are they???

I'm not sure that I actually have a favorite when it comes to a part of my body, but if I had to pick something I guess I would pick my shoulder muscles (sorry Christie!!!). I've always had good shape to my arms and I am thankful for that! As for the part I don't like, I would have to say my gut buster!!! I could do a million sit ups and I would still have a gut!!! I don't really even drink any more and it's still there. Now I know I just had a baby and everything, but even pre-baby no matter what diet I would try or work out I followed the gut just won't go away. Any suggestions on how to get ride of it?

FTF "HFH" Better late than never!!!

I am down one pound this week for HFH! It is the same one pound that I reported for Taking it off together Tuesday. I have reached the point to were my cardio workouts alone are not going to cut it! I definitely need to start adding sit ups, push ups, and weight lifting. That will be my goal for next week. I'm not going to make any promises because I love to run and it's hard for me to not run and lift but I will try. Maybe I will even try doing both!!!

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: 2 mile walk, 2 mile run with son in running stroller.
Sunday: OFF
Monday: 2 mile walk, 2 mile run with son in running stroller.
Tuesday: 3 mile run on track, 1 mile walk.
Wednesday: 3 miles on elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Thursday: 3 miles on elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Friday: 2.5 mile run on track, 1 mile walk.

On another note: It's homecoming weekend for my school district. To be supportive I dressed in spirit wear on Friday! My little guy had on his very own spirit wear too! His little onesie says Pirate Hoops.

Here we are bright and early Friday morning.

As for the question of the week: What inspires me and where did I find it?

I never had to go looking! My dad has inspired me my whole life. He has always lead by example and has pushed me to be the best person that I can be. He has taught me that hard work and perseverance pays off. He has always believed that I could do anything I put my mind to and because of that I have accomplished most of the goals I have set for myself. Now that I am a mother, I want to be that inspiration. I want to be able to inspire my son the way my dad has inspired me! That is what inspires me now at this very moment. I only hope I do as good a job with my son as my dad did with me!!!

FTF (Hot for the Holidays)

OMG!!!! First I would like to say that if my Internet keeps cutting out on me and doesn't stay up and running I AM GOING TO PULL MY HAIR OUT!!! So I am going to make this quick. I am down one pound for FTF.

Here is what I did this week:

Saturday: 2.5 mile run with dogs, 3 sets of stairs at the park.
Sunday: OFF
Monday: 2.5 mile run with dogs, 2 sets of stairs at the park.
Tuesday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Wednesday: 3 mile run on the track, 1 mile walk.
Thursday: OFF
Friday: 3 miles on elliptical, 1 mile walk.

I took a few days off this week because I have not been feeling very good the last two weeks. I decided to go to the doctor's and it was determined the I did indeed have a bug. Like I didn't have enough problems not being able to connect to all of you. But I am here and alive and my baby is growing by the minute so I won't complain to much.

Speaking of my baby, he has been on solid foods for about two weeks now. He is growing bigger by the minute. Oops, I already said that but he is he is getting so big. He is five months old and wears nine month old clothes which are already starting to get small! So far, he is not a big fan of carrots (but that's probably because I didn't know to heat them, MOTHERHOOD FOR DUMMIES-I told you that I am so in that club!!!) but is tolerating the sweat potatoes. Believe me- I have pictures coming!!!!

Well, that is it for now.... I can't believe I finished this post and didn't get my live line cut!!! YAY!!!

Fat Ticker Friday (Hot for the Holidays)

I lost a total of two pounds this week. I didn't necessarily watch my food intake this week because I have been making a conscious effort to healthier foods in general. I figure lots of small healthy meals has to be better than three large unhealthy meals. I worked out every day except for Saturday and have been trying new things, like the elliptical. At first, I did not like the elliptical but now that I have found the weight loss program I LOVE IT!

Here's what I did this week:

Sunday: 3.2 mile run on treadmill at an incline of 3.5 and speed of 5.5.
Monday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Tuesday: 3 mile walk with my son.
Wednesday: 3 mile run on the track, 1 mile walk.
Thursday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.
Friday: 3 miles on the elliptical, 1 mile walk.

Last week, I tried lifting weights for the first time in a long time and added a few sit ups. I decided that my body needs more time before doing those types of exercises. I felt fine after I lifted but it caught up to me by the weekend. I did not feel right all day Saturday and think that had a lot to do with it. And for the record, I use Taking it off together Tuesday's as my mid week check on the old scale. The pound I reported Tuesday is one of the pounds that I am reporting for our Fat Ticker Friday!

Now on to the question of the week:

"What do you want your legacy to be?"

First I would like to start by saying that I am so glad Christie asked this question. I have been thinking about this a lot lately since having my first child and reading the book The Last Lecture. That being said here is my answer to the question:
I want to lead by example and show my son that hard work and perseverance pays off. I want my family to know that no matter what I will always love them and be there for them. I want to set goals and accomplish them. As many of you know, I am a teacher and as a teacher you kind of become a life long learner. I want learn more about our economy, politics, and the world in general so that I can help my son make the right decisions/choices as he becomes a man. I want to continue to live an active healthy lifestyle (lead by example) so that my son will want to do the same. I want to life to the fullest without regret and for the people in my life to know I have no regrets because in some way or other I care about each person that has crossed my path.

Unofficial Fat Ticker Friday

First, let me start by telling what I did this week!

Here you go:

Saturday: 2.5 mile run with dogs and three sets of stairs at the park.
Sunday: 2.5 mile run with dogs and three sets of stairs at the park.
Monday: 2.5 mile run with dogs and three sets of stairs at the park.
Tuesday: 2 sets of walking lounges for a total of 80, lifted upper body light weights high reps should press, bench press, incline press, bench dips, upright rows, triceps, and bicep curls. I tried the sit up thing again (25) and didn't have any pain YAY!!! Then ran 2 miles.
Wednesday: 3 miles on the elliptical.
Thursday: 3 miles on the elliptical.
Friday: 3 mile run.

You would think after all of that and eating healthy I would have lost weight. But NOPE!!! I gained 1 pound... How could that be? I keep telling myself it was the weights... but could one day of lifting have really caused me to gain 1 pound? Honestly, I was really good about eating this week and I haven't had a beer in I don't even know how long (until tonight that is, a girls got to treat herself sometimes!!!).

Anyway, Hot for the Holidays starts Monday and I am ready!!! Plus side on the scale be gone I tell you, be gone!!!

Unofficial Fat Ticker Friday

YaY!! YaY!!! YaY!!! I am down two more pounds this week. I ran pretty much every day this week and now I am so tired!!! I have been so busy this week getting up early to get everyone ready for the work day, dropping and picking up my baby from day care, holding open house for my student's parents, trying to make some dinners while also trying to fit in time to spend with the hubby and my little guy. Alls I have to say is TGIF!!! We have a long weekend which will be nice because my house is in shambles!!! I feel like I need a vacation already and the school year has just begun!
